Seven months ago I started working at Insight Creative Group. Have you ever known you were just meant for a certain job? When I found out about Insight several years ago, I remember thinking that I would love to work there. They looked like a fun, creative group of people who knew how to be serious and let loose at the same time, while coming up with some killer awesome work. I kept up with their stuff online and knew that if the opportunity ever arose, I would apply for a job there. Well it definitely came around and I went knocking. And from the first interview, I just felt like it was a good fit. It felt like somewhere I could thrive.I am happy that my judgment was spot on. I work in an incredibly awesome office with some really amazing people. I love what I do! Love. It. I look forward to going into work every day. I love being surrounded by other talented people and how it pushes and motivates me to think differently and come up with new ideas. I love how our office feels like one big family. We all have our moments, don't get me wrong. And it definitely can get stressful, but overall it's a really great work environment and I feel beyond blessed to be there. I can already see a big improvement in the quality of my work since I've been there. Rock on.
Some of my favorite office-bonding moments have occurred just in the month of December this year. We recently had a Design Team Progressive Dinner Party at the beginning of the month. It. was. epic. I guarantee this event shall take place again next year. Just a few of the highlights below, including some awesome Xbox kinect dancing moves...
Then this past week we had our annual Giving Day. The entire office was broken up into groups of 2 and we traveled to Target & Burlington Coat Factory, where we bought gifts for various children/families for Christmas. We were given an amount to stay in budget and then sent on our merry way to come up with items. After purchasing it all, we came back to the office to wrap it all up. Then a few of us went out to distribute them to the various charities. I am so thankful to be a part of a company that gives back like this! Later that night we also had our company Christmas party. And it was, again, epic. Unfortunately I didn't take pics during the Christmas party, but here are some from Giving Day...
Finally, I leave you with our annual Christmas video. This year we're doing something that not only is creative but also gives back. It's all about 3 words that sum up what Christmas means to you. When you tweet the hashtag #3wordsforgood, Insight will donate $20 to local charities until we reach our $25,000 goal. Check out our website ICGChristmas.com and watch the video below...
